Hello Gustaf Wall!
Welcome back to the Microsoft Community.
Based on your inquiry, we understand you want to transfer your certification and training progress to a new Microsoft Account. We are happy to help.
Starting July 8, 2024, Certification profiles contents migrated to MS Learn and now certification contents are managed via Learn Profile. Some of the previous services related to Certification Profiles are now self-assisted (profiles merging, legal name change, etc.)
The action of replacing an account (login email address) from a profile was exclusive to Certification Profiles. With the retirement of these profiles, the process mentioned no longer exists, and now the management of profiles works under the Learn Profiles merging feature, which transfers contents from one Learn Profile to another under specific conditions (listed below). By system design, Learn Profiles cannot change the associated account.
Up to five (5) school/work account profiles can be merged to one (1) personal account profile.
Two work account profiles can be merged.
Two personal account profiles cannot be merged.
If your Learn profile is associated to a work account, you must link your desired personal account by following these steps:
Log into your personal account (profile A).
Go to Settings > Account Management.
Click on Add Account and Login with your work/school account (Profile B).
This migrates your certification and training progress from B to A. Wait until the confirmation green banner.
However, if you do not possess access to this account anymore, you may attempt to recover access here: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form - Microsoft Support / Recover your account (live.com).
Please keep in mind that Microsoft Learn doesn't manage Learn profiles on behalf of users. Online authentication via a Microsoft account (MSA or Microsoft Entra ID) is the only method to verify ownership and access a Learn profile. If you have lost access to the account associated with your Learn profile and no longer have access to your Learn profile, you'll have to recover the authentication account through its recovery process to regain access to your Learn profile.
