Unable to access certification appointment details as outlook account associated with it maybe locked

Hi,

I am to give an Azure900 exam on**** **** which was scheduled using a new outlook account - *********@***********.

However, I had forgotten the password and when I try to reset it, I was directed to the account recovery form. Despite filling it multiple times, I keep getting an automated message that says:

"We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account ************@***********. Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership.  Microsoft takes the security and privacy of our customers very seriously, and our commitment to protecting your personal information requires that we take the utmost care in ensuring that you are the account owner."

I am unable to view my exam appointment details and order history for purchase of the Azure 900 exam.

Kindly help in recovering my Microsoft account as I am to give my exam in 2 days.

Appreciate a speedy response which really helps in recovering my account.

Thanks,

Leena ******

Thank you, I really look forward to some concrete help in recovering my Microsoft account:

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

A simple password reset shouldn't be this hard to achieve :-(. I get validated for the secure code using alternate email account, but keep getting asked a bunch of questions regarding my password and who I had last sent my mail to in the Account Recovery form.

If I could remember my password, I would definitely have tried it. This account was created newly for registering for the exam. So, I haven't sent any mail to anyone yet.

I have tried guessing the password so many times now that I believe that my account may have got locked. Moreover, the Pearsonvue support agent whom I had contacted regarding this issue said that it looks like I have two email ids associated with my certification profile : one being the above account and the other my gmail id : *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Please help me get back access to my account, so that I can go ahead and give my exam, which I have been forced to reschedule because of this.

Please help!

Leena Balraj

Hello, Leena!

We are glad you reached Microsoft´s Community.

Thank you so much for sharing these details over direct communication. Please know that it is not possible for us to reset the password of any MS Account or send verification code to the security methods set by Candidates.

Following your request, we would like to inform you that we successfully have merged your MC Profiles.

However, we have temporarily unlinked the email address from your Certification Profile. Please follow the Migration Process instructions to link it to your email address which you do have access.

  1. Start a Microsoft Edge InPrivate browsing session (pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + N once the browser is open).

  2. Copy and paste this link into the private window’s address bar. https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/home/migrate

  3. Sign in by using your preferred email address, which you do have access.

  4. It is possible you encounter an error message. If that happens, please click on MCP Home, as shown in the image above.

  5. After clicking on MCP Home, you will be redirected to Your Dashboard.

  6. While being on Your Dashboard page, please delete the URL and paste this one: https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/home/migrate

  7. After pasting the URL and clicking on enter, you will see this website, please fill in the fields MC ID and Access code using the credentials we have shared with you over Private Message.

Now, your account is linked to your desired email address, and you should be able to visualize your appointments. You can check if this process was a success by access Your Dashboard after 48 hours, this is the time frame that takes for the system to make the changes in your account.

As soon as you complete the process, we kindly suggest you to get in contact with the Proctor and ask them to send you the appointment email to your new email address or to assist you in rescheduling once again the Exam in order to make sure you can take the Exam without inconvenience.

Please let us know if you have further questions regarding the procedure mentioned above, we will be glad to clarify them for you. Bear in mind that if we do not receive a response within two business days, the thread will be closed and locked.

We are attentive to your response.

Hi Vanessa,

Thank you so much. I can finally see my exam appointment details.

You mention that it takes 48hours to reflect. Do you suggest that I postpone my exam as I am currently scheduled to take it on April 8th. Just wondering if I would be able to view and access it in my account by then.

Thank you,

Leena Balraj
