Voucher/promo code number entered is invalid

I've attended an online Microsoft Build Cloud Skills Challenge and received a free Microsoft Certification exam.

I followed the steps to claim my free exam as shown in the link below but when I entered the promotion code I get an error "Voucher/promo code number entered is invalid". I have agreed to link my account and everything but still getting an error promo code in invalid.

Hi Omar,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community.

Let me help you in redeeming your exam discount for attending the Microsoft Build Cloud Skills Challenge.

Please be advised that the exam discount you will obtain for attending the event is voucherless. Please follow the steps below to claim a discount.

1. Go to exam page (select the eligible exam) and select "Schedule with Pearson Vue."

2. Sign in using your personal Microsoft account. If you have a certification profile but have not yet connected it to Microsoft Learn, please visit: Connect a certification profile to Learn.

3. Once you are on your Certification profile, please make sure to complete all required fields with an asterisk * and avoid entering special characters as this may cause an error. When your profile is complete, select “Save and continue” (or “Continue” if you’re verifying).

4. On the "Exam Discount" page, you may then enter the email address used in the event in all lower case to check eligibility. Once you receive the verification email with the passcode, please enter the code on the box to verify. See image below:

5. Once discount is available, please make sure to click the "Claim" button to ensure that this will be applied at checkout.

In case you have encountered any error, kindly send us the complete PSR (Problem Steps Recorder) from the time you signed in until it shows the messaging page along with the requested information I have initiated in the private message.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received after two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages.

Regards,
