My student has been learning AI fundamentals through MS Learn and had booked an exam for today.
She arrived to our school 30mins before and her mother and I helped her login, launch the software and check-in for the exam before leaving her in the room alone.
Within 5 minutes my student came out of the room in tears and said her exam was revoked because her father who booked the exam was not present in-person. Her father was on the phone and asked the proctor (who was apparently very rude and didn't listen) who didn't allow my student to get her mother who was just outside the room.
Checking websites and FAQs there is no mention that parents or guardians MUST be the person who booked the exam on the student's behalf.
Please advise on how to lodge a formal complaint and reschedule the exam. My student has spent around 6 months preparing and was left very upset and in tears which is not the correct way to treat a 13 year-old who was alone in a room trying to complete a formal exam for the first time.
