I was searching for a provider for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Training in the UK and I found this: https://www.janets.org.uk/courses/microsoft-office-specialist-mos/
Before signing up (it's one of these too good to be true things), I emailed them to ask if it's an official course and would result in MOS certification, however they confirmed it wasn't:
"This is a CPD course and there is a final exam at the end of the modules. The modules can be found in the description. Please note that after the successful completion of the final assessment, you will receive a CPD-accredited certificate of achievement with the same title as it is written on the website. This is not accredited by or affiliated with Microsoft. This course is mainly for personal skill development purposes".
I'm glad I asked them to confirm before I paid them anything - they seem to be making money from Microsoft's MOS courses but it isn't at all official. I imagine there are a lot of people who have fallen for this scam. Can Microsoft do anything about it?
