General | Issue on Edge when enabling Self-registration on Microsoft Community Training Platform

When enabling self-registration on MCT We ran through a few tests of creating new accounts and self registration, and came across an issue in Edge.

When setting up our test account, after verifying, creating a password and submitting the account, we were presented with the prompt below that we did not have access (screenshot attached).

This screen only displayed for 5 seconds at most, and then we were brought back to the login prompt. When logging in from here with the newly created account, we were able to access the platform, but for each new account we tested in Edge, this 'access prohibited' screen always appeared. This prompt only seemed to happen when creating the account for the first time, and only happened in Edge.

This issue did not happen in Chrome at all, and after creating an account in Chrome, we were automatically logged into the MCT platform. We conducted multiple tests of creating accounts with Chrome and were successful each time. However for Edge, multiple tests were conducted (with various scenarios i.e. Regular and incognito windows), and for each test we ran ,the issue above happened. We did not test it in other browsers at this point besides Edge and Chrome at this point.

Has anyone come across this issue before, or know how it could be fixed?
