I want to apply MCT with a Personal Reference

Hello everyone,
A few weeks ago I obtained my PL-300 certificate and am interested in applying to become an MCT. For 2 years I have been teaching classes on different Power Platform tools. How can I apply “Personal Reference” among the requirements. I do not have “Provide verifiable proof of instructional skills by completing a course from one of the following approved providers.” I am from Argentina. Thank you so much

Hi Diego,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community.

It's great to hear about your interest in becoming a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and your extensive experience in teaching Power Platform tools. I can definitely provide the complete guidelines on how to be certified as an MCT.

Ola is correct. Please be informed that the MCT Program has undergone an update in its enrollment process, resulting in the permanent removal of the personal/professional reference requirement. This change was made as part of system updates and improvements.

Moreover, it's important to mention that holding the Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification is indeed one of the prerequisites for MCT application. With this, you'll only need to demonstrate instructional skills by completing a course from one of the following approved providers which can be found in the MCT program entry requirements

Kindly refer to the following approved providers from the LATAM region:

LATAM

Netec

Spanish

LATAM

Green Tecnologia

Portuguese

LATAM

Leading Learning Partners Association (LLPA)

Portuguese; Spanish

LATAM

TEDUCACIÓN

English; Spanish

Note: Some Instructional Skills Certification programs are not available globally, Because of this, we recommend learners to contact instructional skills providers directly for any inquiries regarding course schedules, offerings such as discounts, alternatives or arrangements for you to fulfill MCT program entry requirements. A link to the corresponding support contact number should appear when you select each course or provider.

Please be advised that the MCT Program will verify your ISC (Instructional Skills Certificate) based on the information submitted by the organization. As per the latest update, ISC information submitted by Instructional Skills Certificate Providers may take up to 30 days to process and become available for MCT application review.

With this, we normally advise applicants to contact their perspective Instructional Skills Certificate Providers as their names need to be included on the list and provide a justification. ISCP has been informed about this updated procedure and should be able to communicate with our Support Team to ensure their inclusion on the list.

Once the certificate has been approved as true and valid by our support team, your MCT application will also be approved within 48 hours. Upon the approval of your MCT application, you should receive your welcome email within 24 hours, along with your MCT certification and badge.

Should you require additional help in the future with your exam registration and enrollment, feel free to let us know by posting a new question so that we can provide real-time assistance.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received after two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond. If the resolution provided did not resolve the issue, please post a new question. Thank you.
