MCT requirements for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations

What are the requirements to re-apply for MCT on Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations??

For 2018-2019 I held the MCT status based on my certificates for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

I can't find the list of the required exam(s) to enroll the renewal of my MCT status .

Who can help me out on this?

Or is it currently not possible to apply on Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations??

Many thanks in advance!

Hello Sicco Antuma,

The exam MB6-896, count towards MCSE: Business applications. To qualify for the Microsoft Certifications requirement, you will need to earn either MCSA: Microsoft Dynamics 365 or MCSA: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations

Hi Lyn,

Thank you for your response.

It's kind of odd to me that for a functional trainer on D365 for Finance and Ops the requirements are not limited to functional certificates.

If I understand correctly, the D365FO functional trainer also needs to have achieved technical certificates involved for MCSA Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations implementation, development, and customization skills.

So I need to pass exams 70-764, 70-765 and MB6-894?! From my point of view this knowledge is not very relevant for my functional courses on D365FO.

Do you agree with that?

Looking forward to your response!

KR, Sicco

Hello Sicco,

To earn MCSA Dynamics 365 for Operations you only need to pass two (2) exams: either 70-764 or 70-765 along with exam MB6-894,

Effective March 1st, 2014, applicants to the MCT program interested in training on Dynamics must possess at least one of the Dynamics qualifications.

MCSA Dynamics 365 for Operations is part of the said requirement, plus earning this MCSA will qualify your to re-new you MCT application.

Hi Arvin,

Thank you for your response.

I understand that on short term for me as a Functional Dynamics 365 Ops trainer the requirements are to hold MSCA certification to renew my MCT status. That's a pitty, since I've got no experience and knowledge in that area.

Last year my D365FO certificate Trade and Distributrion was sufficient to renew MCT status.

I read the announcement that as of March 31, 2019 3 new certifications for D365 Ops consultants will be available:

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Financials Functional Consultant Associate

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Manufacturing Functional Consultant Associate
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate

QUESTION
Is it possible to postpone my MCT renewal for 1-2 months, to enable the renewal of my MCT based on Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate?

That certificate requires to pass the exams:

MB-300: Dynamics 365 Unified Operations Core (available March 31, 2019)

MB-330: Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Supply Chain Management (available March 31, 2019)

What do you suggest me to do to get this postponement of my MCT renewal arranged??

Or any other suggestions.

You notice that I desperately need help in my situation.

Many thanks in advance!

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards, Sicco

Hello Sicco,

You can still re-apply/re-join the MCT program even after your MCT anniversary date has passed.

The same fee as the renewal when you will submit the MCT reinstate application.
