Hi Dhaval,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community.

I understand how important it is to redeem your event-attendee certification discount, and I want to ensure it's applied accurately and without delay. I’m taking the necessary steps to get this addressed promptly so you can make full use of the opportunity you've earned.

One way to apply the discount tied to a different email address is by linking that account to your Microsoft Learn profile. You can refer to the guidance in this article: Manage your Microsoft Learn profile settings | Microsoft Learn for step-by-step instructions on how to add another account to your profile.

Please note that you can link up to five work or school accounts and one personal account to your Microsoft Learn profile, giving you flexibility in how you sign in and apply offers.

If both of your email addresses are personal accounts, and neither has an existing certificate associated with it, we recommend using the email address originally used to receive the offer—as that’s the one best aligned with the discount eligibility.

For additional guidance on scheduling exams and applying discounts, you may also refer to the Vouchers and redeeming discounts | Microsoft Learn page.

If you need any further assistance or clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Additionally, feel free to share any specific details related to your concern—such as the event you attended—so we can explore all available options to support you effectively.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received after two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond. Thank you.

Hi ShaneM_M,

Thank you for sharing the detailed information — I’ve reviewed it. It appears that I’m unable to link my personal Gmail-based account to my existing Live domain account on the Microsoft Learn profile.

Is there any alternative way to associate two personal accounts with a single Learn profile?

Thanks,

Hi Dhaval,

Thank you for your thoughtful message and for clearly outlining your concern. I completely understand the importance of wanting to manage all your learning progress and exam achievements under one profile—especially when you’re actively engaged across different Microsoft events and platforms.

At this time, linking two personal email addresses to a single Microsoft Learn profile isn’t supported. Each account remains distinct, and merging them isn’t feasible, unfortunately.

That said, there are a couple of potential workarounds, depending on your needs:

  • If your goal is to register for an event using your preferred Gmail address—and the event is still active—we recommend re-registering directly with that email to ensure your participation is properly recorded.

  • Alternatively, you could create a new Microsoft Learn profile using your Gmail account. However, please note that this will create a separate profile, and any certifications or exam records associated with your existing Live account will not transfer to the new one. For that reason, we typically do not recommend creating duplicate profiles, especially if your Live account already contains exam history or completed achievements.

Moreover, in order to further assess which option may be most feasible on your side, I’d like to take a closer look at your Learn profile. I’ve initiated a private message where you can securely provide the requested information.

Once received, I’ll be happy to help guide you toward the most appropriate solution. I'm here to support you every step of the way.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received after two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages. Thank you.
