Help with MC ID and/or Access Code

Hello,

In 1998 I obtained an MCP by passing exam 70-024. At that time, I received my Welcome Kit with exam transcript and an MC ID. I did not know at that time that it was my responsibility to register with Microsoft, and when I try now to use the MC ID I received by mail in order to create or retrieve an Access Code, I get an error message.

I have my exam paper report (exam paper report from Sylvan Prometric Testing Center) plus Microsoft Certified Professional Transcript with an MCP ID inside (paper received by mail) and my Certificate of Excellence (paper received by mail).

Please help me obtain MC ID and/or Access Code.

Hi SorinZaporojan,

The Access Code provided before is only just a one-time use. This is being used to link a Microsoft Account to your MCID to access Microsoft Certification Dashboard.

Also, if the Microsoft Certification profile hasn’t been opened for more than months, the Microsoft Account link to it will expire.

No worries, I can help you retrieve your MC ID and provide you a new access code so you may access your account.

To start, I have initiated a private message, requesting for information to locate and validate your profile. Please click photo below to find the message.

I look forward to your response.

Please note that if no response has been received after two business days, the case will be closed and locked.

Thank you,

Hi SorinZaporojan,

I was able to locate and validate your profile using the information you have provided via private message.

Also, I was able to generate a new one-time access code that you can use to associate your preferred email address to your Microsoft Certification Profile. To do that, please follow the steps provided below:

1. Please open an Internet Explorer and visit the Microsoft Certification Profile.

2. Sign in with your Microsoft account (Preferred email) and password that you would like to link with your Microsoft Certification Profile

(Note: If you receive an error "That Microsoft account doesn't exist.”, just choose "Create one!")

3. Enter the Access Code along with the MC ID to have your Microsoft account associated with your Microsoft Certification record.

MC ID and Access code are provided through the private message.

Once you have completed this process, you will not be required to enter this information again and can login using your Microsoft account and password moving forward.

Also, make sure to access your account at least once every 12 months to keep it active.

Let me know if you have other questions.

If this solves your problem, please indicate “Yes” to the question and the thread will automatically be closed and locked. In case we do not receive a response, the thread will be closed and locked after two business days. Please be advised that after the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages.
