How to Remove LNU as lastname from the certification profile.

Hi Team,

I submitted the application to attempt AZ-104 exam. I was advised from the forum and Analyst/Moderator to use "LNU" if last name is missing as it is not accepting application without it.

I was able to attempt the Exam on March 01 but refused to allow second attempt on March 19. This was a shocker and when I had contacted Pearsen support team. They asked to remove LNU and use "." and "_".

I can't attempt the exam until my name is corrected in the application.

First Name: [removed]

Last Name : No Last Name ( it should be kept blank)

Please advise how to change the last name in the certification profile or application that I had already submitted. Two tickets already raised and no response until yet. Yes, 48 hours is already passed.

Kindest regards

Answer

Hello Harsh,

Updating the legal name can only be done by our Legal Name Team for security purposes.

For candidates who do not have a last name, underscore (_) is inputted in the Last Name field, this practice is recognized by the testing centers and will not appear on your certificates.

Please fill out the Microsoft Certification Profile Name Change Request form and verify your identity by providing three (3) pieces of personal information that match what's on your Microsoft Certification Profile.

Once this information is verified, your name will be updated in 24-48 business hours.

After completing the form, please send the Support Request Number through the private message I initiated to make sure that your case will be prioritized.

To know more about the new process for Legal Name Change requests, you may refer to this sticky post.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received after two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages.

Kind regards,
