Import a Certification to my microsoft profile from edX

Hi team,

 

In early January I have followed a course on the edX platform (Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI), at the end of which I passed an exam and earned a certification


When logged into my Microsoft Learn Profile, it appears that the certificate is not present in my collection. I would need this so that for my organisation’s competency attainment purposes.

Exams and certification that were taken from the Learning website are the information that will show on your Learning profile as Edx has a different platform.

However, if the profile you are referring is from the Microsoft Learn website, you may contact their support by reporting an issue.

You may also send an email to info@edx.org for further assistance or you may also reach their support thru Contact edX Support to confirm on how to associate the course to your organization.

The portal I have issues with is the Microsoft Learning Profile - in the dashboard where my certification are listed.

Do I need to reach out to the edX support team to get this investigated?

Hi Sebby,

The dashboard displays a certificate (Power Platform Fundamentals) which I sat in a testing center. However the Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI is not being displayed, which is my issue.

It is probably not supposed to be there automatically, but if that's the case then how do I go about having the edX and learning profile synced I wonder.

Exams like Power Platform Fundamentals that were taken from the Learning website will synced to your profile was completed. However,  Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI  as this has been taken through EdX and since they a different platform, I would suggest to get in touch with them, to see how to go about connecting the certificate to appear on your certification profile.

Hi Sebby,

I reached out to edX however they advised I cannot share the Certificate from edX to the Microsoft account.

Can you kindly advise on how to proceed? The certificate it relevant to my company's (Microsoft Partner) competency attainaments so it is important that I can get the certification recognised.

As mentioned since edX has a different platform the certifications/exams taken through them cannot be synced with the your Microsoft certification profile. As it is needed for your company competency what I can suggest is to try to contact Microsoft Partner Network thru this  link for additional information.
