Hello, Ali.
We are glad to have you here at Microsoft Community.
We understand from your post that you would like to know which was the correct path to obtain MCSE: Core Infrastructure.
Keep in mind that to be certified as a MCSE: Core Infrastructure you would have to:
Earn one prerequisite certification:
Prerequisite Option 1: MCSA: Windows Server 2012.
Prerequisite Option 2: MCSA: Windows Server 2016.
Please keep in mind that to be certified as a MCSA: Windows Server 2012 the required exams for this Certification are the following:
Exam 70-410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
Exam 70-411: Administering Windows Server 2012
Exam 70-412: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services
However, if you wanted to pursue the MCSA: Windows Server 2016, the required exams for this Certification are the following:
Exam 70-740: Installation, Storage, and Compute with Windows Server 2016
Exam 70-741: Networking with Windows Server 2016
Exam 70-742: Identity with Windows Server 2016
In the diagram you can see the distribution more clearly and which elective Exams were available.

The absence of replacements responds to Microsoft’s focus on Role-based Certifications.
Microsoft continually reviews our current and planned certifications to ensure that our certifications reflect the latest Microsoft technologies as well as those technologies that Microsoft Certified Professionals use every day.
We highly recommend to use our Certifications Browser and filter by preferences to find the Certification that accommodates to your career goals.
If we do not receive a response, the thread will be closed and locked after one business day. We will be looking forward to your response to proceed accordingly.
All the best,
Beatriz Garcia.
