Pearson Charging extra Schedule fees and Taxes when checking out even after applying 100% discount voucher.

Hi,

I got the same issue when I tried to register for AZ-104 exam, and PearsonVue requires an additional fee despite of 100% of discount linked on my company Account ( as a Microsoft Partner). So Pearson VUE bill me at the end 4500 Rupees tax included instead of 0 rupees regarding 100% of Discount. But my colleagues aren't getting this. I got in touch with Pearson VUE support team, but I don't have a reply for the moment. Could you just check if there is something that you can do please ? It is urgent because my customer need me to pass this certification exam.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards, Abhishek

Answer

Hello Abhishek,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community.

I’m sorry to hear that you are still being charge even after claiming your 100% company discount. Allow me to further check and provide additional information.

I also appreciate your effort in contacting Pearson VUE to verify with them directly.

If you are seeing a “refundable no-show deposit”, please be advised that this will apply if the system have detected that you didn’t show up on your previous exam appointments for the last 180 days. Note that this deposit is just an assurance that you will attend your appointment and it will be refunded automatically once you took the exam regardless of the results.

If you were not able to attend the exam due to technical or personal issues, it is recommended to contact the exam provider to report the incident.

Since you have used a company provided discount, note that starting January 16, 2023, the “refundable no show exam deposit” will apply if you missed your next scheduled exam. An email notification was also sent to learners regarding this change.  Moving forward, please make sure to reschedule or cancel the exam to avoid incurring no-show. For technical issues, please contact Pearson VUE to help you reschedule the exam.

For additional questions or clarifications, I recommend contacting the ESI support team as they are the ones who handle company provided discounts. You may reach them through the link below. Please use your work email address when signing in to creating a support ticket.
