Proctor revoked exam when switched to mobile hotspot

Hi Team,

I appeared for an proctor based exam today with @PearsonVUE for AZ-900 certification. Lost Wifi connection in the middle of exam and quickly switched to mobile hotspot.

The proctor cancelled my exam saying mobile hotspot is not allowed.

On asking is there any other alternative. He replied switch to another Wifi

Do these organisations think we are wealthy enough to keep multiple Wifi connections at home?

The proctor raised a complaint for me

Didnt even gave me 3 seconds to note that and simply closed the exam. Requesting you to kindly look into the issue and please reschedule the exam.

Hi Kaushik,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community.

I understand your reason for connecting to your mobile hotspot to continue the exam.

Upon reading the Terms and conditions of online exams with Pearson Vue, connecting to a mobile hotspot is strictly prohibited and it’s recommended to use a wired internet connection.

Furthermore, we can forward this case to our Support team for further investigation.

To proceed, kindly provide us with the requested information in the Private message I initiated. (Please refer to the image below)

Also, kindly attach the actual copy of the exam registration email received form the exam provider, once I have received all the necessary information, I will forward these to the concerned team.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received after two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages. Thank you.
