Updated badge not showing in Credly after renewal

Hi Microsoft,

I renewed my Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification in January this year so it now expires in June 2024.

My badge in Credly did not update the expiry date after the renewal assessment and I received no email to claim a new badge. The expiry date is showing June 2023, it should be showing June 2024.

Is it possible to get the expiry date updated?

Thank you.

Hi Tracey!

Welcome to Microsoft's Community.

We understand from your post, you cannot share or update your Badges. We are glad to help.

The reason why you cannot share or update your Badge, is because we are currently in transition to move the Badges from Credly to Microsoft Learn.

You may find more information about our new changes on the following link:

Coming Soon! Microsoft Learn certification sharing features to replace - Training, Certification, and Program Support

Before 27th (June) if any user has badges, they can still go to credly and see them; they need to use the link https://www.credly.com/users/sign_in. After 27th (June) they cannot claim their badges anymore or update in system.

We appreciate your patience during this transition.

Please let us know if you require further assistance with your Certification Profile. We will be glad to assist.

We look forward to your response. In case we do not receive an answer within one business day, the thread will be closed and locked, and you will not be able to reply through either channel.

I have tried to use the Share button in Microsoft Learn but all it shares is a link to the page showing the certification details: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate - Certifications | Microsoft Learn

It doesn't share a link to my certificate.

Thanks.

Hi Tracey!

Microsoft is introducing new features to the Microsoft Learn profile, providing learners with more flexible options for viewing and sharing their Microsoft Certifications directly from Microsoft Learn. With this feature release, Credly badge services will no longer be used for most Microsoft Certifications.

This being confirmed, our badges sharing article information has been updated with all of the necessary details regarding the new Microsoft Certification sharing experience:

What is shared from your Learn Profile is the certification itself. We will provide the steps of this new experience so you can share your Certificate to the available social media platforms.

  1. Sign into your Learn profile.

  2. Click on the photo avatar and select Profile from the dropdown menu.

  3. Select Certifications from the menu inside your profile.

  4. Scroll to the certification that you’d like to access and select “View certification details” below the description.

NOTE: To share your Microsoft Certifications, ensure you have connected your Microsoft Certification profile to your Learn profile.

Example of a Credential ("Online verifiable") record:

You can identify a certification with the new Learn sharing experience by the "Online Verifiable" tag that is shown next to them in the Certification record list.

Review the credential information :

For the record, click "View certification details".

I've connected my Microsoft Certification profile to my Learn profile and I can see the certification but it doesn't have the 'Online verifiable' tick next to it. Can you help with that?
